Eric Naig with a Lake of the Woods Walleye

With 80+ hours on the water with my brothers fishing, we have a Lake of the Woods Fishing Report.
Good to re-kindle the passion for my sometimes-forgotten love of FISHING.
We all should be proud of the way Northland Tackle products (old and new) continue to work great in the field!
Here’s the report from last week:

6 muskies (biggest 45”) lots more “seen” but not willing to play/bite. Most were caught on Booty Call & Bionic Bucktail spinnerbaits in the pencil reeds, cabbage, and coontail.
Many, many, many pike (biggest was 41”) enjoyed biting our lures in the colder than normal fishing conditions.  All but the biggest were caught in the same areas as the muskies. 41” er was caught on a new Speed Spinner while walleye fishing.
Enough walleyes (biggest was 25.5”) to bring home our limit, have a camp fish fry, and a shore lunch.  Caught walleyes with Slick-Sticks, Baitfish Spinner Harnesses, and Speed Spinners tipped with Impulse Rigging Leeches (caught the biggest), Jig Crawlers, Ringworms, and live nightcrawlers. 15-20 feet was the best depth off of the main lake points.
Plus a few bonus smallmouth, jumbo perch, and crappies as well.

Summer is ending soon, get out fishing and I hope this Lake of the Woods Fishing Report can help you on your next trip to Canada.
