HEAVY HITTER FOR HEAVY CURRENT

NORTHLAND’S NEW CURRENT CUTTER JIG DEFIES THE FLOW

Northland Fishing Tackle Current Cutter jig.

Bemidji, Minn. – Northland Fishing Tackle’s revolutionary new Current Cutter Jig slices through the strongest currents, allowing you to efficiently target hard-to-fish areas where trophy walleyes and other river-run gamefish live—without getting washed away by the flow.

“The Current Cutter Jig is an answer to river fishermen’s prayers,” says lead head savant and legendary angler Gary Roach. “Its 90-degree aqua-dynamic head cuts through powerful currents, taking the frustration out of fishing for walleyes, saugers, and other fish that hold and feed in the flow.”

A high-vis UV-enhanced optical finish further boosts the Current Cutter’s effectiveness. “Optically brightened UV coatings make it easier for fish to see the jig in low-light conditions and in bog-stained or muddy water,” Roach explains. “There’s also a glow finish for added attraction once darkness falls.”

The Current Cutter Jig also features a slim yet sharp and sturdy long-shank hook, complete with a wire keeper for securely holding live bait and artificial soft baits in place, even in swirling current. “You can dress it with virtually any trailer,” says Roach, noting that Northland’s flavorful IMPULSE® Paddle Minnow, Paddle Shad, and new Core Swimbait rank high among his top tippings.

Current Cutter Jigs are available in six eye-catching colors and 1/8-, 1/4-, 3/8-, 1/2- and 5/8-ounce weights. Hooks range from 1/0 to 3/0. Suggested retail is $3.29 per card of 2 or 3, depending on size.
