My name’s Greg Karch and live in Oshkosh on the great Lake Winnebago. Besides fishing tournaments, I’m the founder and President of Learn 2 Fish With Us. An organization that’s mission statement is “Grow the sport of fishing by education and inspiring beginner and experienced anglers”. We’ve built a seminar that is called ‘Fishing Basics’ and educates youth and families about everything needed to start fishing; safety, fishing combos, casting, knots, bait, fish identification, fishing presentations, and the AIS message of Clean Drain Dry. During most events, we will get the youth and families out fishing so they can see how relaxing and fun fishing can be. To date, we have held 137 clinics and have had over fifteen thousand youth attend. These clinics have all been free to the public! Besides educating youth and families on fishing I have had some top ten finishes fishing tournaments which were due to Northland’s great products! In 2014 Greg Karch received the National Professional Angler Association member of the year for what I’m doing to grow the sport of fishing. In 2014 I also received an award from Wildlife Forever and the State Of Wisconsin for what I’m doing to educate the public on Aquatic Invasive Species during my Fishing Basics seminar. Together Northland Tackle, myself and Learn 2 Fish With Us is helping to grow the great sport of fishing by educating, inspiring, and providing a great product to fish.
