Bemidji, Minn. – When there’s no time to waste dropping your jig into a deep-water strike zone, Northland’s new Larva Fly gets down to business—fast.

Built to tempt panfish of all stripes, its dainty, bead-style head is molded from super-dense tungsten, so it’s 30 percent heavier by size than standard jigs.

“Tungsten heads are the ticket when you need to get your jig down to the fish in a hurry,” says iconic panfish ace Brian “Bro” Brosdahl. “This can be the case when you locate a roaming school of fish that might move on before a slow-falling jig finally arrives on the scene, or when you’re working with a group of active fish and need to get the jig back into the feeding frenzy before they lose interest and fade away.”

Once it reaches the fish, the Larva Fly quickly converts lookers into biters.

Sporting a hand-tied hackle that mimics underwater insects, it works wonders either fished alone or inline above a small spoon. Further fueling attraction, “larva-lace” tubing hand-wrapped around the shank adds a beefy, bug-like dimension to the presentation and cloaks the cold steel beneath a chewy exterior that encourages fish to hang on until you set the hook.

The Larva Fly is available in a 1/25-ounce weight with a #8 hook, a 1/50-ounce version with a #10 hook, and a 1/100-ounce size with a #12 hook. All three options are available in eight catchy colors.
