Brian Bashore

A Nebraska native, Brian Bashore grew up fishing the banks of the Blue River and Harlan County Reservoir at a very early age. Influenced by his stepfather very early in life, he was hooked on Walleye fishing and participated in his first walleye tournament at age 16. There was no looking back at this point, his love for the outdoors soon consumed his life and led him down the path he currently travels. In 1996, he attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln studying Forestry, Fisheries, and Wildlife Management. During this time, he also owned and operated a custom home-building company and later a financial firm with expertise as a mortgage broker and insurance advisor. The sales/marketing knowledge and professional relationships gained from being a business owner not only help him promote his own business but also those in partnerships. He also served for 11 years as the training and operations Chief of a Naval Construction Battalion. After two tours of duty to Iraq and Afghanistan, Brian is now settled in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with his wife Tammy and stepchildren (ages 10 & 6).

Brian Bashore has been successful in promoting the sport of fishing and increasing participation in outdoor sports and activities. He accomplishes this through organizing kids' fishing clinics, live seminars, tournament appearances, and affiliation with several other non-profit and community organizations. Brian also dedicates his time as a Regional Board member for National Wildlife Federation overseeing (5) five state wildlife affiliates and developing the regional relationship with the National organization. He is currently the president of South Dakota Walleye Unlimited, a Future Angler Foundation board member with past positions on the Nebraska Walleye Association and Nebraska Wildlife Federation. Brian has been involved in countless committees and other organizations to promote conservation and awareness. He has been actively involved in many legislative issues and has spent several hours in Washington DC sponsored by Trout Unlimited/ National Wildlife Federation to advise on pending sportsmen issues. There is no question about Brian’s passion for the outdoors.
